Whizzed Watermelon + Lime Juice + Spoonfull of Sugar = Yum but not Earth-Shattering. It was a watermelon-tini without the tini. I guess that makes it watermelon. Why, yes, that's essentially what it was, mouthfeel and all, LOL!. Refreshing nonetheless.
Shopper's Drug Mart's version of Method's natural cleaning products: "Biolife". This is the Pear Violet All-Purpose Cleaner - a scent that's to die for. Thanks for the tip-off, Mandy!
***Edited to add: I've been getting quite a few visitors here searching for information on this product! I just thought I'd add that I love it - definitely worth the purchase. The bottle is pretty enough to re-use, too.
A housecleaning epiphany. I have one of those Swiffer-esque mops - you know the ones where you attach the microfibre pad to the velcro-covered mop head? Well I use a dry microfibre one for dust-mopping the wood floors, and a wet one for mopping the tile. But all those sticky watermelon drips needed something more. I had a pack of those acrylic scouring pads handy (Scotch Brite-esque? LOL - all my cleaning products are "esque". I am nothing if not cheap.) Lo and behold, it sticks right to the velcro. Check out my wickedly powerful scrubbing mop! (apologies to those who find this wickedly obvious)
(Another ceramic tile cleaning tip...For stubborn, hardened spots, flirt with danger and use one of those razor scrapers from the hardware store!)
The crewel kit - she is started! I love "doin' mah crool". Embroidering with yarn has a faster pay-off than floss, you can cover areas much more quickly. I can't wait to finish this one and invent a bird crewel pattern.
Hope you enjoyed your Canada Day/Independence Day holiday!
